Reactions, prayers and protests erupted after a Florida jury acquitted George Zimmerman in the death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

Local NAACP President Pastor Roderick Pearson says his parishioners walked into church services today, feeling disappointed and doubtful in the wake of the verdict.

The Justice Department announced this afternoon that it will review all evidence to determine if Zimmerman violated any civil rights laws.

"The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy," President Barack Obama said in a statement today. "Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. We are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son."
