Thousands of Long Islanders could be in the cold and dark through the weekend, according to PSEG Long Island.
At the height of Wednesday’s storm, 88,000 people had no electricity.
As of this morning, about 4,000 people still have no power.
PSEG LI says it has brought in outside repair workers.
However, PSEG Long Island says clearing trees from power lines is a complex dangerous job that could take a few more days.
