Charges have been filed in connection to the killing of a Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office detective.
Detective Sgt. Monica Mosley was fatally shot during a home invasion robbery in Bridgeton on Oct. 15.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s office says that four people are facing charges.
Nyshawn Mutcherson, of Vineland, Jared Brown, of Bridgeton and Richard Hawkins Willis, of Gloucester City are being charged with first-degree murder and other crimes.
Cynthia Pimentel, of Paulsboro, is being charged with tampering with evidence and hindering an investigation.
The Bridgeton Police Department says officers were called to the 600 block of Buckshutem Road around 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 15 for reports of several people kicking in the front door of a home. When police arrived and entered the house, they found Mosley, 51, suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say she died on the scene.
Mosley worked in several departments within the agency, including the Special Victims Unit, Community Justice Unit and the Professional Standards Unit where she worked as a supervisor.
