Prosecutor: 2 found dead inside boat that caught fire in Newark

Two people were found dead Friday evening inside a boat that caught fire in a Newark alleyway.
Full details of the incident were not immediately available. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says that two women were found dead inside the boat that was parked in an alleyway near 20 Pennsy Place – which is located very close to Newark Liberty International Airport. The women were pronounced dead at University Hospital.
The prosecutor also says that one man was injured in the fire. He was taken to Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston in stable condition.
Two boats were involved in the fire – one was severely damaged.
The prosecutor says both boats were parked on trailers and one boat caught fire and spread to the adjacent one.
The identities of the victims were not provided. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
