Red Cross assisting family following Claremont apartment fire

Four people were hospitalized Thursday following a house fire in Central Islip, officials say.

News 12 is told that the fire started in basement of a home on Birchgrove Drive at around 6:15 p.m.

Officials say the fire extended to all floors of the house.

They say all residents were able to get out of the home and the four people that were hospitalized were being treated for minor injuries.
