Long Island voters headed to the polls today to choose candidates in numerous primary races.

Perhaps the biggest battle is in Nassau County, where former county executive Tom Suozzi wants his old job back. Suozzi is trying to win the Democratic nomination over businessman Adam Haber. The winner of the race would face Ed Mangano in November.

In Suffolk, District Attorney Thomas Spota is also seeking re-election.

However, first Spota will have to fend off a challenge from Raymond Perini for the Republican nomination.

Spota is also endorsed by the Democratic, Conservative, and Independent parties for the general election.
