President-elect Joe Biden has announced his coronavirus task force, which he says will put together a blueprint for fighting the pandemic.
"It starts with doing everything possible to get the COVID-19 under control so that we can reopen our businesses safely and sustainably resume our lives and put this pandemic behind us," said Biden.
The team will be led by top scientists and experts, including former Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, former FDA Commissioner David Kessler and Yale University Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith.
Biden's plan involves some big steps in trying to control the virus.
Biden says he wants to give all Americans access to regular, reliable and free testing, double the number of drive-thru testing sites and invest in at-home and instant testing kits.
