A new campaign is threatening the political order in East Hampton Town. East Hampton Village Mayor Jerry Larsen is challenging incumbent Town Supervisor Kathee Burke Gonzalez and the entire Democratic Committee that endorsed her. News 12's Rich Barrabi spoke with both candidates.

Vice President J.D. Vance called Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi the "worst congressman in America" while visiting Suozzi's 3rd Congressional District. It was called an official government visit to discuss the Trump administration's crackdown on crime and fraud. Vance spent most of his time in Bethpage backing up Republican Congressional candidate Mike Lipetri.

Suozzi is now calling for a federal probe into Vance's visit to find out if taxpayer funds were used for the event that he says was more "like a campaign rally."

Long Islanders who took advantage of early voting in Suffolk County participated in a new way to submit their ballot this election cycle.
