The two Republicans in the race for New York's 3rd Congressional District met with Long Islanders in Nassau County. Mike Lipetri and Greg Hach attended a Levittown Property Owners Association meeting as the two made their cases directly to voters by focusing on issues like affordability and job creation. Lipetri and Hach are aiming to challenge Democratic Rep. Tom Suozzi in the fall. Suozzi is also facing a Primary race against attorney and public defender Danielle Welch.
Republican Jeanine Driscoll, the Town of Hempstead Receiver of Taxes, is challenging Freshman Democratic Incumbent Rep. Laura Gillen in New York's 4th Congressional District. Driscoll earned the backing of Nassau Republican Party leadership after former current Labor Department Inspector General and current Rep. Anthony D'Esposito declined to enter the race. Driscoll has a primary opponent in Garden City's Marvin Williams. News 12's Rich Barrabi recently met with him as he campaigned in his home community.
