Monkeypox – the viral disease has spread around the globe in recent months and has
found its way to New York. The state has the most cases in the United States as
of July 24.
With cases on the
rise, an effort has begun to get people vaccinated.
Councilmember Lynn
Schulman, the council’s chair of the committee on health, joins
News 12’s Kurt Semder to discuss all things monkeypox,
including measures being taken to fight its spread and it’s impact on the LGBTQ+ community.
