A man posing as a deputy U.S. marshal to seduce women was arrested on Thursday after being outed by angry ex-girlfriends on a Web site.
Police say Richard Kudlik, 43, impersonated a deputy U.S. marshal to lure women. But soon the real life maintenance man and 17-year marriage partner had a string of angry exes waiting to expose him.
According to police, Mattituck resident Pamela Brown was recently fooled by Kudlik, who she broke up with in April. To get even, Brown created the Web site off2hunt.com, named for one of Kudlik?s chat-room aliases. He is featured there on a wanted poster. Brown says she did it to urge other women to come forward with their stories. Several women have since complained to police.
Kudlik pleaded not guilty to possession of a counterfeit marshal?s badge and is free on bond.
