A total of 500
Moderna shots were available by appointment only Saturday at St. Brigid Our
Lady of Hope School in Westbury – part of an effort
aimed at vaccinating those in minority communities.
Nassau County's
Office of Hispanic Affairs, community leaders and Northwell Health's Equity
Task Force identified vulnerable communities and distributed the vaccine
accordingly.
News 12’s Logan Crawford was there to speak with those getting shots, as well as
county leaders.
