An East Patchogue woman is accused of driving drunk and high when her vehicle landed into a swimming pool.

Police say Samantha Perez, 24, failed to navigate a turn at the intersection of Peconic Street and Sycamore Street just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

They say that is when Perez hit a parked car, crashed through a fence and drove into a pool.

A family with two young children was home at the time of the incident, but no one was hurt.

Perez has been charged with driving while ability impaired by alcohol and drugs and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
