A Patchogue bank was robbed early Thursday in a crime that could be related to a separate bank robbery and attempted bank robbery earlier this week, police say.
Police say a woman wearing a motorcycle helmet and mask entered the Webster Bank on Sunrise Highway Thursday, threatened violence to a teller and demanded money.
They say the bank worker complied and then the suspect fled on the back of a waiting motorcycle.
The robbery follows two other crimes that followed the same pattern.
On Monday, authorities say a female suspect robbed a TD Bank in Lake Ronkonkoma and attempted to rob a Chase Bank in Yaphank.
They say both incidents involved a female suspect wearing a motorcycle helmet and face mask before leaving on the back of a waiting motorcycle.
Suffolk County police tell News 12 the robberies have similarities and that they are investigating if they are connected.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robberies to call them. They say all calls will be kept confidential.
