4h agoPolice say a woman was rescued after being stranded in a Merrick marsh for hours in Wednesday’s extreme heat.
According to police, the woman was rescued by helicopter after her jet ski got stuck near the False Channel.
A tactical flight officer had to pull her from mud and carry her to the helicopter around noon.
The 60-year-old was severely dehydrated.
She was hospitalized.
