A woman is accused of hitting a man in Copiague Saturday night and then driving away.

A woman is accused of hitting a man in Copiague Saturday night and then driving away.

Police say Sagrario Lopez-Escobar was driving on 43rd Street near Atlantic Street around 10:30 p.m.

That's when investigators say she hit the man, who was walking in the roadway, then took off. 

The victim suffered serious injuries.

Police say Lopez-Escobar was arrested at her home a short time later.

She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
