Police: Woman faces charges, man seriously hurt in North Babylon crash

News 12 has been told Edward Marone saw a car crash into a utility pole at the corner of Lloyd Avenue and Skidmore Road Tuesday night.

Police say one man is hospitalized and a woman is facing charges following a crash in North Babylon.

News 12 has been told Edward Marone saw a car crash into a utility pole at the corner of Lloyd Avenue and Skidmore Road Tuesday night.

When Marone went to check on the driver, police say Marianna Mkrtchian, 18, backed the car up and hit him – pinning him against the vehicle.

Police say the teen then tried to drive off.

That is when police say a second man picked up a brick and threw it at her car’s windshield.

Mkrtchian then got out and was arrested.The teen is charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
