Police: Woman arrested for leaving infant in car at Green Acres Mall

A 911 call was made by a witness who observed a young child left alone in an unattended parked vehicle in the parking lot of Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.

Police say a Queens woman has been arrested for leaving her infant in the car in Valley Stream.
According to detectives, a 911 call was made by a witness who observed a young child left alone in an unattended parked vehicle in the parking lot of Green Acres Mall.
Upon arrival, officers saw the  8-month-old girl in the back seat of the vehicle which was unlocked and running. 
Officers say they dispatched an ambulance that responded to the scene and upon arrival the child was evaluated by a Nassau County Police Department Medic. The infant was found to be unharmed.
A subsequent investigation by officers determined Moesha Hamilton-Prince, 24, was responsible for leaving her child unattended and arrested her.
The child was placed into the custody of a family member.
Hamilton-Prince is charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
