A Wantagh man is accused of shooting up his neighbor's garage with a stolen gun.
Police say the shots were fired in July by 20-year-old Rocko Fox. The homeowner on Sarah Drive in Wantagh only noticed the damage on Monday. Police say another neighbor came forward with video of Fox allegedly firing the shots.
According to court records, the homeowner's son was inside the house when Fox shot into the garage. The reason for the gunfire is not yet known.
Fox was also charged Tuesday with burglary. Prosecutors said Fox broke into his girlfriend's house in Levittown and stole her father's gun safe with two semi-automatic handguns in it. Police searched Fox's home Monday night but did not recover the guns.
Police say Fox was arrested two years ago for allegedly shooting a pellet gun into a liquor store and an occupied car, and then pointing that gun at another teen at the nearby Cherrywood Shopping Center.
Prosecutors say he's been arrested six times and already has one felony conviction.
Fox was held on $250,000 bond at his arraignment and faces a 30-year sentence, if convicted.
