Police: Stroller struck by car in Lindenhurst

Police say a stroller carrying two children was struck by a car in Lindenhurst this morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of West Hoffman Avenue and South Fifth Street just before 9 a.m.

Police say a stroller carrying two children was struck by a car in Lindenhurst this morning.
The incident occurred at the intersection of West Hoffman Avenue and South Fifth Street just before 9 a.m.
According to police, the driver was making a left turn and did not see an adult walking with two children in the stroller. The driver struck the stroller, knocking it over.
Police say both children were treated at the scene, but did not appear to have any injuries.
The children were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital to be checked out.
The driver is not facing any charges.
People who live in the area tell News 12 that drivers frequently speed down Hoffman Avenue.
