Police confirm to News 12 that a shooting happened in Hempstead last night.
The incident happened outside a home on Albermarle Avenue and Nostrand Place around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say two men pulled out a gun and tried to rob a man. According to police, when the suspects found the man didn't have anything on him, they beat him.
The suspects then fired a shot when the victim ran off. No one was hit.
So far no arrests have been made.
