A Shirley woman is charged with stealing money from residents at Catholic Health Maryhaven Center of Hope's location on North Ocean Avenue in Medford.
Detectives say their investigation began in January after administrators discovered an employee was stealing from resident’s personal accounts.
They say Jazzame Paranzino, who was employed as a residence manager, stole nearly $50,000 from 11 residents beginning early last year.
"It's very concerning and disturbing when the most vulnerable people are targeted,” says Suffolk County Police Department acting Commissioner Stuart Cameron.
