Officials are urging everyone
who collected candy in the Stony Brook and Setauket area to check their candy.
The warning comes after a 13-year-old girl found a razor blade inside one of
her candy bars from Halloween.
According to police, the
Setauket girl traded candy with her classmates at PJ Gelinas Junior High School
in Setauket over the past few days. Last night she found a blade.
The girl’s parents called
police.
Police are now asking parents
to monitor their children when they open candy - especially in these areas.
