A Selden man who is on parole for burglary was allegedly caught breaking into a home earlier this month, and police now say the man has committed multiple crimes since last year.
A Ring Doorbell video shows the man who police say committed burglary and trespassing in Suffolk multiple times spanning 11 months.
Police arrested 39-year-old Tyamie Bell, of Selden, for entering eight homes and yards in Coram, Medford, Middle Island and Selden between last October and this month.
Police say Bell confronted residents in two of the incidents.
Suffolk Police Commissioner Geraldine Hart says no one was injured during the incidents and nothing was stolen.
Nancy Thomas, of Selden, says Bell stole her family's sense of security.
Thomas says she, her son James and other family members were sleeping in their living room when her security camera captured Bell breaking into her home at 5 a.m. on Sept. 11.
Thomas says her dog chased him out before he could do any harm.
This isn't Bell's first run in with the law. He was arrested 24 years ago and charged with similar crimes in Copiague.
News 12 Long Island was there when Bell was taken away in handcuffs for arraignment on Jan. 5, 1996.
Bell, then 15 years old, was charged in string of serial sex attacks in which young girls were molested in their beds.
At the time, police said Bell admitted under questioning that he had broken into four homes and sexually abused three residents.
Bell was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of burglary and six counts of criminal trespass.
He's being held on $156,000 bail.
