Police are trying to track down the boater who crashed into another boat and then left the scene.
The incident happened about a mile off the coast of Montauk Point Thursday night.
The Coast Guard says the boat collided with another vessel, causing damage to the boat and disabling it. Two people were forced to jump overboard.
The Coast Guard responded to the scene and towed the damaged vessel back to Lake Montauk.
No one was seriously hurt.
