Commuters can expect to see more police cars on the road for Labor Day weekend.

State, Nassau and Suffolk police are boosting patrols and will be on the lookout for drunk and reckless drivers.

The patrols will also have sobriety checkpoints across the area.

Officers will be driving around in marked and unmarked cars.
