Police: Pedestrian struck by car twice in Oakdale
Police say a woman suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle twice on Montauk Highway in Oakdale.
According to police, the unidentified woman was crossing Montauk Highway at Idle Hour Boulevard when she was struck by a Jeep traveling westbound around 6:45 p.m. Monday.
Police say the woman was then struck by a 2004 Nissan that was traveling westbound making a left turn to go southbound on Idle Hour Boulevard.
The victim, 40, of Bay Shore, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Montauk Highway was closed, but has since reopened.
