A pedestrian was struck by a car in a parking lot in Copiague on Saturday, police say.

The incident happened at the Fine Fare supermarket parking lot off Montauk Highway just after 4 p.m.

Witnesses say a female driver lost control of her car and pinned another woman underneath it.

News 12 is told the victim was airlifted to the hospital.

There is no word yet on the condition of the victim.

The driver remained at the scene and there is no word if any charged are pending.
