Two men died after being shot while driving on the Rockaway Turnpike near John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens Friday, police say.
Police say the driver and his front passenger in a vehicle heading west were shot, causing the vehicle to lose control, veer into oncoming traffic and hit a fence on the northern end of the airport's property.
The two men -- one is 26, the other's age is not known -- were pronounced dead at a hospital, according to authorities. Police believe the men died as a result of the shooting.
A 28-year-old woman and a child were in the rear of the vehicle at the time of the crash. They also went to a hospital, but are in stable condition with minor injuries, police say.
Police say there have been no arrests made and any description of suspects or their vehicle is not available.
All four people who were onboard the vehicle appear to be from Queens, according to police.
