Police: Massapequa man arrested after weapons and drugs found in car

Detectives tell News 12 an officer noticed a vehicle heading east on Sunrise Highway at Newbridge Road with an expired state inspection.

Police say Massapequa man was arrested in a weapons and drug bust. 
Officers say it happened a little after 6 p.m. Friday night in Bellmore.
Detectives tell News 12 an officer noticed a vehicle heading east on Sunrise Highway at Newbridge Road with an expired state inspection. 
The officer performed a traffic stop and approached the vehicle when he noticed a wooden club on the front passenger seat.
He then asked the driver, 35-year-old Sean Marshall, to step out of the car.
After investigating further, the officer found an illegal handgun, switchblade knife and what is believed to be Oxycodone and Amphetamine pills.
Marshall was placed under arrest and will face a judge this weekend.
