Suffolk County police say a homeless man was stabbed to death Monday in the parking lot of the Home Depot in Coram.
Sixth Precinct patrol officers responded to a 911 call at 346 Middle Country Road at 7:28 p.m.
When they arrived, officers found 55-year-old Ralph Anthony stabbed in the leg. Anthony died at the hospital a short time later.
Ada Robinson, 60, who is also homeless, was arrested at the scene. She told News 12 that Anthony was her boyfriend of 17 years. She also denied killing him.
Robinson was charged with felony manslaughter.
Legislator Sarah Anker says she's formed a task force to tackle what she says has been an ongoing problem with homelessness and addiction in the area.
"There is a dark cloud over this plaza. We need to work together and make sure we are addressing the safety and health concerns," says Anker.
