Police: Man seriously injured in Veterans Memorial Highway crash
Veterans Memorial Highway was left closed for hours in Hauppauge at Raoul Wallenberg Drive due to a serious crash that happened early Tuesday morning.
Police say a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Veterans Memorial Highway when it made a left turn onto Raoul Wallenberg Drive and was struck by a four-door sedan.
The incident happened at about 1 a.m. Tuesday. It left lanes in both directions closed, before all lanes reopened around 7 a.m. The southbound side of Raoul Wallenberg Drive at Veterans Highway remains closed.
Police say an adult male in the sedan was transported to a hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
The pickup driver was not injured.
