Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a hit-and-run that occurred Saturday night in Lindenhurst.
Authorities say Jose Batres Mendez, 53, was struck by a motorcycle while crossing North Strong Road just before 6 p.m.
The driver fled the scene, and Mendez was hospitalized with serious injuries.
