A Hempstead man is accused of sending sexually explicit pictures to young girls over a social media app.
Police say Daniel Arturo Monrroy Pineda, 27, was arrested in front of his Hempstead home Tuesday.
According to police, Pineda used the name "Papi" on the social media app "ooVoo." Police say Pineda sent friend requests to girls in the West Hempstead area between the ages of 11 and 14 years old.
After the girls accepted, authorities say he would send the girls sexually explicit pictures and videos.
Police are reminding parents to warn their teens not to connect with anyone on social media who they don't know in person.
Pineda was charged with 10 counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor.
Pineda's bail was set at $100,000. Detectives ask anyone who feels they may also be a victim to contact them at 516-573-5375.
