Police say a man riding a bicycle robbed two men at gunpoint early Friday morning.
Authorities say a suspect wearing a mask covering half his face approached a 43-year-old man who was walking on Fenimore Avenue around 6:20 a.m. They say he brandished a handgun, then stole cash and a cellphone from the victim. He then fled on a gray mountain bike.
Police say the suspect used the same tactics just minutes later on a man who was walking on Macon Place. He stole cash, a cellphone then fled the scene.
Authorities say he tried to rob another man at a nearby bus stop, but the victim ran away.
Uniondale resident Edgar Perez says the string of robberies does not surprise him.
"It happens everywhere. You could be walking anywhere and somebody could mug your or rob you," Perez told News 12 Long Island.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
