A man is dead after losing control of his bike and being struck by two vehicles in a hit-and-run in Woodlawn, police say.

The man was riding his bike southbound on Webster Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, according to police.

Officials say he lost control of the bike which caused him to fall onto the street. That's when he was struck by two cars also traveling south on Webster Avenue. Police are searching for the drivers.

The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
