Police: Man hit by car while crossing William Floyd Parkway in Shirley

A Shirley man was badly injured when he was hit by a car while crossing a busy Suffolk street Monday night, police say.

A Shirley man was badly injured when he was hit by a car while crossing a busy Suffolk street Monday night, police say.
Police say Daniel Quigley, 33, was hit around 10:50 p.m. in Shirley while trying to cross William Floyd Parkway on the Sunrise Highway overpass.
Quigley was taken to Stony Brook Hospital with serious but injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
The driver who hit him was not charged.
