Police: Man faces charges for robbery and assaulting officer in North Lawrence
A loss prevention officer from a Marshalls on Rockaway Turnpike called police after recognizing 44-year-old William B. Foster from a previous incident inside the store, according to authorities.

Police say a man was arrested Tuesday for robbery and assaulting an officer in North Lawrence.
A loss prevention officer from a Marshalls on Rockaway Turnpike called police after recognizing 44-year-old William B. Foster from a previous incident inside the store, according to authorities.
Police arrived at the scene and located Foster in front of another store. Authorities say he then fled from police and refused to comply with multiple commands.
Police say an officer was injured during the arrest but is expected to be OK.
