Police are searching for a man who they say exposed himself to a 9-year-old girl in East Meadow.

It happened outside the child’s home on Falcon Street at around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday. The home is a few blocks away from an elementary school.

Officials say the suspect parked a van across the street from the girl and motioned for her to approach the vehicle. When she did, investigators say the man exposed himself.

The child ran inside her home and told her father what had happened.

The vehicle is described by police as a white work van with an orange ladder on top.

The suspect is an adult male with a medium complexion, short brown hair and a thin mustache. He was wearing an orange T-shirt at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
