Police: Man demanded money from Ralph's Italian Ices location, threatened worker

Police say Baxter broke a flagpole off a nearby storefront and threatened the woman, but then dropped it and fled.

An Amityville man is under arrest after an altercation at a popular ice shop.
Police say Vincent Baxter, 21, approached a female worker at Ralph's Italian Ices on Main Street in Farmingdale just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday. They say he handed her a note demanding money.
The woman refused and chased the suspect.
Police say Baxter broke a flagpole off a nearby storefront and threatened the woman, but then dropped it and fled.
Baxter was arrested a short time later. He faces several charges, including attempted robbery and menacing.
