Bethel police issued a warning Friday after a man who claimed to be a social media influencer was found on the Bethel High School property Thursday.

Police say at 12:30 p.m., Chaudhry Muhammad Shouq, a 58-year-old man, was found and stopped by several school resource officers. Shouq told officers he was famous on TikTok and was on the property to meet some of his fans.

Shouq was told to leave and not return any Bethel School property. If he did, he would be arrested. Police say Shouq left without causing an incident.

Police do not believe Shouq is dangerous. but urge parents to keep an eye on their children's social media activity and who they interact with. They recommend parents speak to their children about the dangers of meeting people online, regardless of their status on social media.
