Police: Man burglarized Levittown home, tried to steal cars, crashed patrol while fleeing officers

A man accused of burglarizing a home in Levittown, trying to steal multiple vehicles and crashing a patrol car during an attempt to flee authorities is facing a slew of charges.
Detectives say the chain of events on Thursday night started with a domestic dispute that involved 34-year-old Nicholas Corrow, of Valley Stream.
Authorities say Corrow burglarized a home on Loring Road and attempted to take his ex-girfriend's car that was parked outside of the residence. He then went to the intersection of Wolcott Road and Hempstead Turnpike where police say he attempted to carjack two people at knifepoint.
Detectives say Corrow then fled and later encountered several people outside a 7-Eleven. He allegedly threatened them with a knife and demanded they hand over their car keys.
Authorities say a responding officer saw Corrow trying to gain access to a vehicle. Corrow refused to comply, and the officer was forced to discharge his Taser but the attempt was unsuccessful.
During the struggle, the suspect managed to enter the officer’s patrol car. The officer was dragged about 20 feet as Corrow drove away. The officer suffered cuts to his elbow and knee.
Corrow continued to drive westbound on Hempstead Turnpike, trying to escape authorities, according to detectives. Police say he then crashed the patrol car into another vehicle at the intersection of North Bellmore Road.
The suspect fled on foot before officers apprehended him, according to police.
Authorities say the three people in the other car were hospitalized, along with the Nassau police officer.
Corrow was charged with a slew of offenses that included burglary, robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny among others.
He is scheduled to face a judge on April 9.
