A 21-year-old Brentwood man was indicted Tuesday on federal charges accusing him of coercing minors into sending sexually explicit images and engaging in self-harm as a demonstration of loyalty.

Jordy Contreras, a Suffolk County Community College student, was arrested July 1 and is charged with sexual exploitation of a child, coercion and enticement and receipt of child sex abuse materials.

According to federal prosecutors, Contreras allegedly persuaded two minors, identified in court documents as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, to engage in sexually explicit conduct between December 2025 and June 2026.

Authorities say Jane Doe 1, now 12 years old, told investigators in April 2026 that she had spent several months exchanging sexually explicit photos, videos, FaceTime calls and Snapchat messages with a man she knew as "ZR" and "Jordy."

Prosecutors allege Contreras offered the girl Robux, a virtual currency used in Roblox, in exchange for explicit images and videos, which she did.

They also claim he told her to contact other young girls through Snapchat and obtain nude images from them, which she would save for him to later download.

She estimated to law enforcement that she did this "thousands" of times to girls as young as 6 and up to 13 years old.

According to court documents, when the girl tried to resist his demands, Contreras allegedly threatened to rape or kill her and violence against her family.

At one point, prosecutors say he asked her to cut a backwards "J" into her inner thigh as a "demonstration of loyalty" to him, which she did over a video call with a razor, while he allegedly told her to go deeper.

The girl told investigators she still bears a scar from the incident.

Contreras additionally allegedly shared his screen with the girl while on a video call to show her a young boy pulling his pants down and forcing the child to perform oral sex on him while the child screamed.

Prosecutors say Contreras later connected with Jane Doe 2, another 12-year-old, on Snapchat in June 2026.

Court documents state that she provided him with personal information, including her home address and school, and sent him explicit images through the platform.

Federal agents executed a search warrant at Contreras' Brentwood home on July 1, seizing 11 electronic devices. According to prosecutors, investigators found multiple images of child sexual abuse material on the devices.

Contreras is scheduled to be arraigned July 31 in federal court in Central Islip. He is currently being held at the Nassau County Correctional Center.
