A Hempstead man is under arrest and accused of gunning down a Roosevelt man last year.

Police say 22-year-old Savonn Dangerfield will appear in court this morning.

According to police, Dangerfield shot 23-year-old Jeffrey Lee several times at the intersection of Dartmouth Street and Stewart Avenue in Hempstead.

Lee died of his injuries.

Dangerfield is charged with murder and an unrelated warrant charge of robbery.
