A man is facing DWI charges after a crash in Lindenhurst.

Police say the crash happened around 12:30 a.m.

According to police, Alex Hernandez Diaz was driving a Ford SUV at the intersection of South Delaware and Nevada streets when the vehicle left the road and struck a pole.

The 37-year-old from North Amityville was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.

Diaz will face a judge at a later date.
