Police: Man arrested for 16 burglaries in Nassau over past 2 years

Police say a man has been arrested for a string of burglaries and breaking in to more than 15 homes.
Detectives say authorities caught 59-year-old Edwin Griffin in Cedarhurst on Sunday leaving a home with a nail gun and electric bicycle.
News 12 has been told officers attempted to arrest him when he violently resisted arrest, injuring an officer.
Investigators believe Griffin is responsible for 15 other burglaries over two years in Cedarhurst, Woodmere, and Lawrence.
Griffin is facing a slew of charges.
The officer injured is expected to be OK.
