A man has been arrested in an attempted rape in Inwood, police say.
Police say the incident happened last month on Nassau Avenue. They say the 50-year-old victim was walking when she was approached from behind by Freddie Keitt.
Police say Keitt dragged her between two parked cars, jumped on top of her and began to punch her in the head.
The victim was able to escape. Police say Keitt ran off but a Crime Stopper tip led them to make an arrest.
Police say Keitt was released from prison in March. He served 10 years for unlawful imprisonment and robbery charges filed in the city.
They also say there may be more victims out there.
