Carle Place pulled off a repeat in the Long Island High School Basketball Championships.

The Frogs took on Southampton in the Class B matchup at Farmingdale State College on Tuesday.

The boys were down one in the fourth quarter until eight-grader Caden Saccone gave them the lead -- and they never gave it back.

With a final score of 54-47, Carle Place advances to Saturday’s regional final.

Senior Ryan Leary scored 20 points, which gives him 2,000 overall in his career.

News 12 was there earlier this season, when Leary broke the school’s scoring record of 1,469 points, which was set in 1970.

The Frogs captured their first-ever Long Island title last year with a win over Mattituck.
