Suffolk County police say all westbound Long Island Expressway lanes reopened Thursday night after debris spilled from a truck earlier in the evening.
The incident occurred around 7:05 p.m.
Police say that all westbound lanes, excluding the HOV lane, were shut down in addition to the Exit 60 ramp.
Traffic also backed up on the eastbound side due to rubbernecking.
It's not yet clear what caused the spill.
