Police: Lanes reopen following serious accident on Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway at Jericho Turnpike

The southbound lanes of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway at the Jericho Turnpike in Syosset have reopened after a crash, police say.

Police: Lanes reopen following serious accident on Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway at Jericho Turnpike
The southbound lanes of the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway at the Jericho Turnpike in Syosset have reopened after a crash, police say.
Nassau police say an accident that included a serious injury closed the road. That accident happened around 5 p.m.
A county advisory from earlier in the afternoon said, "Motorists are advised that the Jericho Turnpike southbound entrance ramp onto the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway Route 135 is closed due to an auto accident investigation. Motorists should avoid the area."
Police have not released more information about the crash at this time.
The lanes reopened shortly after 8 p.m.
